Meghan Cooney

MOVEMEANT COACH

An avid fitness enthusiast, Meghan is passionately committed to helping women and girls build confidence, strength, and resilience. After playing volleyball for Dartmouth College, she gained experience in marketing and online education before opening two barre fitness studios in the greater California Bay Area. What she loves about The Bar Method workout is that it's empowering and effective, strengthens your muscles and joints, and allows for a sense of mindfulness and calm while exercising. During her free time, you can find Meghan tending to her plants and succulents, running with her Husky named Boots, or snuggling up to read with her rescue pup Fannypack.

Growing up, Meghan benefitted from the loving support and guidance of her parents, teachers, and coaches. She became a Movemeant coach to similarly help maturing girls find their voice, live a healthy lifestyle, and chase their dreams. The Girl FWD program provides girls with the space, support, tools, and community they need and deserve to build a solid foundation of self-awareness, assertiveness, and self-belief. Meghan is honored to be a part of a program aimed at empowering young girls during the most important years of their development. As her favorite quote by Alice Walker, American novelist and social activist, goes: "The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any.”
